Because good books are rarely sold, and sometimes hard to find, maybe some inspiration for you in 2022.
1) Imitation of Christ - Thomas a Kempis
Shows the greatness of taking up the cross and suffering. Good for meditation, medieval rulers carried a copy.
2) Orthodoxy by GK Chesterton
Chesterton talks about his conversion, from the standpoint of paradoxes. Chesterton's writings style can take a while to get used to, but once you get it, all clicks.
3) Uniformity with God's Will - St Alphonsus Liguori
Great short book on growth towards God. St Alphonsus is one of my favorite saints.
4) The Great Heresies - Hilaire Belloc
Belloc is underrated. He takes 5 heresies and describes how they influenced the lives of people who lived under them.
5) On God - Blaise Pascal
The writings of one of the greater scientists on God. Unexpected. An apologetic work towards people trying to escape from Jansenism.

6) Ecclesiastes
Donโt read the stoics, read Ecclesiastes.
Great books! Will read some of these in the future. Immitation if Christ is amazing.
