Ideas have consequences
The manifestations of a society, are closely connected to its ideas. The same can be applied for the individual (although a little adapted).
Crazy ideas and their manifestations
Every thought that crosses your mind has the potential to manifest itself in the world. Most people live with a set of axioms (thoughts), from which they derive all their thought. Within this frame of thought, they can think for themselves and make logical conclusions.
A virtue today, is holding as many thoughts as possible together. But it is impossible to think A and not A at the same time. This naturally leads to contradictions. Contradictions of this kind are visible in the material world, as I already hinted at in previous essays. Contradictions of thought can manifest at the individual level, creating a ripping apart of the head. It can manifest at the material level, where a person has a disordered room. This can also manifest itself at the societal level, when individualism starts to occur. When two people cannot talk to each other because they hold different frame of minds, they are separated.
Of course, not everything a person thinks will have an impact on the world, as human do not only rely on rational thought, but it is a big part of it.
When thinking in a modern framework, one often leads to the conclusion that human life is inherently worth nothing, which is of course absolute nonsense. This frame of thought leads to the horrific buildings we see in eastern European countries. The grey drab buildings, where each window looks the same, is the outcome of this. Life is reduced to almost nothing.
One of the reasons why Catholicism has been able to consistently produce beautiful art, is that it is ordered. An ordered mind creates ordered structures.
If you do things, they will have consequences in the real world.
