I am becoming a believer in spiritual creatures. Physical creatures are self evident, but spiritual creatures exist within pages of books, corners of the mind and the dreams of men. They are just as real as their physical contemporaries.
Well, all exist fractally in the mind of God as logoi (see St Maximos the Confessor). Even their essences or spiritual forms. It's from this that they have their being, so in a sense, the spiritual forms in books are very real.
Something I might add, Plotinus says that the act of intellection (of perception) is direct. We perceive the intelligible world through something in the sense world (an object). This particular object (material) makes us recognise the "form" that is behind it. And Plotinus would say this "form" is more direct than what we see in front of us. Much food for thought
You're going to like the new Symbolic World logo and intro :)
Indeed, but I'm also fascinated by bestiaries in general.
