There is a church here in Tallinn also, which strikes me more like a hospital than a church... it's sad. It used to be the tallest building in Europe in the Middle Ages.
I discovered this post long after it was written, but I found myself moved by it and its examples. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I certainly hope that we can return to the days when you could see the reverence for God in the houses we built in His honor.
